Jill’s Story

Welcome to the world of Jill's Jubilant Jewels!  My name is Jill Usdan and I am the founder of Jill's Jubilant Jewels.

Jill’s Jubilant Jewels is a woman-owned jewelry company, founded in December of 2020. The idea was born after months of managing the isolation and anxiety of the pandemic in New York City. I felt the need to create something that brought myself and others a sense of peace and joy - a line of necklaces that represents moments of brightness and self care and fosters a sense of community and connection. Creating these colorful pieces was therapeutic for me and I got so much joy from making pieces for my friends and family. Our community has grown substantially since the pandemic and I’m now beading daily and continuing to evolve my style for a wide variety of customers. I have copyrighted a technique I use with some of my necklaces called “Pop of Collar”. This refers to the practice of putting a pop of brightly colored beads at the collar of the necklace, to show off that part of the neck. My pieces are structural and artistic, as well as classic and understated. I do believe that there is a piece for everyone in my collection.

In addition to making necklaces, I am also a singer/songwriter and actress. Check out my EP “Numbers” on Spotify! The first and last songs are jazz standards and the four in between are originals.

I am an AmSat 1,600 hour certified Alexander Technique teacher. To learn more about the technique, click here!

I have freelanced as a photographer, specializing in Off-Broadway production and publicity photos that have been published in The New York Times, Playbill, Village Voice, and other publications.

I have had my pen drawings exhibited in New York City at the Jill Newhouse Gallery as well as a part of The Wilhelmina Project on the lower east side.

So now that you know a bit about me, I would love to hear a bit about you!  Please feel free to send me a message through the contact page if you have any questions or inquiries about commissions.
